Our most recent speaker was Abi Kremer, Lecturer in History of Art from Bournemouth University. She gave a fascinating exploration of the work of Therese Oulton from her early days after studying at the Royal College of Art to her current work.

This overview traced her move from complete abstraction to her current figurative work, which is a recent development, and which can be seen soon at the Marlborough Fine Art, Albemarle Street.

Her early work was influenced by Morris Louis' Veil paintings and as her work evolved, it is clear that she has retains certain aesthetic themes: textural paint application, colour combinations and titling of work which allows the viewer the space to interpret the work individually.

Our next meeting will be a practical workshop On November 4th which will be a life drawing and collage day.
